First Team Building (Bolinao 2014)

Like what I have mentioned on my previous blog I will start posting my travel adventure after I stopped blogging.

This is my first year working on a BPO company. I am a Customer Care Agent on one of the telecommunication company in the United States. Yes! If you're from the USA, and you're carrier is the company that I worked for maybe we've already talked. haha!

Since we work on a graveyard shift, on weekends and during holidays. One of the most popular activity we do during our day-offs and after payday is to have a team building. This is a good way to bond with your teammates for you to know them better. Because on a call center environment change is constant. Meaning you may have different teammates after a few months.

This is my first call center job. Yes! I am a call center "VIRGIN" in layman's term. I am lucky as well because even I am a virgin in this industry I was hired on this line of business. Because the four major telecommunication company in the US is the hardest account in the BPO industry. To those who doesn't have a experience in the BPO industry the reason why telecommunication account is hard because there are more metrics that you need to maintain. We have customer survey to make sure we are providing the best customer experience. We have average handling time to maintain meaning we cannot talk to one customer for a long time we need to resolve the issue as fast as we can but we need to make sure that the quality is there. As customer care agent we also need to make sure that when we resolve the issue of the customer we need to make sure that there are no underlying issue that will make the customer to call us back within the next 7 days. Those are the 3 most important metrics but we have more and I don't want to really discuss all these things here. I just want to give you an overview why I became busy in this field and did not have time to blog for the past 3 years.

BOLINAO, PANGASINAN PH (SUMMER 2014)

Like what I have promised on my previous post I'll be sharing my summer getaway this 2014. I've also mention on my previous post that I have a new job. Well from regular day job I am now a call center agent and I am a customer care specialist of Sprint. It is one of the mobile network provider in United States along with T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T. And even though I am a new agent last April we already had our team building and we did that in Bolinao, Pangasinan. It's on the northern part of the Philippines. It's my first time to go there actually I've been in some places on thr northern part of Luzon but, I never been to Bolinao. But I hear good feedbacks from my friends who already went there. And since our team leader is from Bolinao he suggest the place because he promised us that there are cheap resorts and great beaches in Bolinao.

We stayed there for 2 days and 1 night. It was a 4 to 5 hours drive from Pampanga and if you're not familiar with the roads it may take a little bit longer. When we reached the resort it was already night time so we just ate our dinner it was the famous longaniza of Alaminos, Panngasinan, salted eggs, green mangoes and bagoong. After that since it was late already we can't swim on the beach so we just swim on the resort's pool.

In the morning of course we were so excited to go to the beach and catch the sunrise and luckily we were able to see the sunrise, we were able to take more photos and we also saw a group of fish and the fisherman caught them and because the water is just almost knee deep we were able to take a closer look and I was able to take photos of the small fishes.

The Burger Adventure (Part 1)

This past few months I had this craving for burgers... maybe I watch too much TLC shows... But, yeah it was my dream to become one of the host of a travel and food show... I want to travel the world and eat the best food in each country/province/city. And maybe this is the reason why I also like to blog. This is my way of fulfilling that passion and hopefully someday that dream will come true.

This blog is basically my first blog after disappearing for a long time... I was too busy with my new job and I work on a graveyard shift. Usually my routine will be waking up at around 12 midnight because my shift starts at 3am until 11am. After shift usually me and my new colleague will eat and like what I've said I had this craving for burgers. And since I finally got a chance to post a blog I'll be sharing my past burger adventure this past few months while I am gone in the blog scene.

1. First on the list is the "Three Meat Burger" and  "BK Stack King " of Burger king. It's called 3 meat because it has bacon, ham and the burger itself. While the stack king has a quadruple patty, cheese and bacon. BK is one of my favorite burger joint because they have a good quality of burger patties.

Miss World 2013: Megan Lynne Young (Philippines)

Finally The Philippines got the Miss World title for the first time last night (September 28,2013) in Bali, Indonesia. Megan Lynne Young or we Filipino all know her as Megan Young, a 23 years old Filipina-Actress/Model/Host and now a Beauty Queen. Megan was born in the United States to a Filipino mother and American father. She moved to Olongapo City, Philippines at age ten.

Megan's first showbiz break was with the talent reality search StarStruck wherein she was placed in the top three together with LJ Reyes and Ryza Cenon. She is a product of GMA. After two years with GMA Artist Center, she soon moved to ABS-CBN following her sister, Lauren Young.

This Filipina Beauty bested 126 other international candidates to become the successor of China's Wenxia Yu, the cowned Miss World 2012. I must say that Megan Young deserve the title because she showed the world that she is ain't just beauty but she also have brain when she answered the question...

"Why should you be crowned Miss World?"

She answered: "I treasure a core value of humanity and that guides people why they act the way they do."

"I will use this to show other people how they can understand each other... as one, we can help society," she added.

To our first Miss World 2013 Megan Young, We Filipinos are very proud of you because you represent the Philippines very well! Truly a Pinoy pride!

When it is raining, I misses Summer. I remembered my first Summer trip to Cagbalete, Quezon. We went to Villa Cleofas, a 1,640.4874-hectare property located east of Quezon Province (in Luzon, north of the Philippines). It is a private island owned by my sister's boss family. They opened the place to the public but, they only allow limited number of guest so that it wont be crowded and to preserve the virgin island.
