Recipe: Celine's Homemade Burrito

I'll be sharing my favorite Mexican dish. It's my own version of Burrito. It is cheaper and easy to do.

Burrito -  (US English /bəˈrit/Spanish: [buˈrito]), or taco de harina,[1] is a type of Mexican food. It consists of a wheat flour tortilla-wrapped or folded into a roughly cylindrical shape to completely enclose a filling. (In contrast, a taco is generally formed by simply folding a tortilla in half around a filling, leaving the semicircular perimeter open.) The flour tortilla is usually lightly grilled or steamed, to soften it and make it more pliable.




Ingredients:

For the Salsa:
1 C minced onion
1 C minced bellpepper
1 1/2 C chopped tomatoes
2 C tomato sauce
Taco Seasoning

Procedure: Saute the onion, bell pepper & tomato. Add tomato Sauce. Dissolved taco seasoning in water (just enough to dissolve) then add. simmer and add black pepper and salt if desired.

For the Beef:
1/2 K Lean Ground Beef
1 C minced garlic
1 pack of taco seasoning
1 tsp. turmeric
Mozzarella cheese 

Procedure: Saute garlic, turmeric and ground beef until the beef is brown. Dissolved taco seasoning (just enough to dissolve) then add to the beef. simmer and add black pepper and salt to taste. You can also add mozzarella cheese if you want.

You don't need to worry on how to make a burrito wrapper. There are many burrito wrapper sold in supermarkets today. But, if you know how to do your own wrapper I suggest to make your own because fresh made wrappers are more delicious than the frozen one.

To wrap it off! Just heat(frozen) /cook (fresh made) the wrapper on a non-stick pan. Place the wrapper on a plate, put the beef and roll! add salsa on top and viola! you have your celine's homemade burrito!
