Mostly spaghetti should be a little bit sour because of the tomato sauce. But, I grew up eating a spaghetti with a sweet taste. And it is actually a Filipino style spaghetti. I believe Filipinos has a sweet tooth because most of the Filipino dishes has a touch of sweetness.
Spaghetti is also one of my family's favorite dish. It is overwhelming to know that they like my own version of Filipino style spaghetti. That's why I'll be sharing my secret on how to make a delicious Pinoy style spaghetti. And as always expect it to be easy, delicious and affordable!
- 2 1/2 kilo Del Monte Filipino Style Spaghetti Sauce
- 1 kilo Spaghetti Pasta
- 1/2 kilo Ground Beef
- 1/2 kilo Ground pork
- 1/4 kilo Hot dog, sliced
- 500g sliced mushrooms
- 4 medium size red bell pepper, minced
- 1 big onion, minced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- salt and pepper
- 2 cups water
- cheese, grated
Procedure:
For the pasta: Just follow the instruction on the wrapper or cooked until Al dente.
For the sauce: Saute the onions, garlic, bell peppers, mushroom, hot dogs and ground meats. Add the spaghetti sauce and water then simmer for 5 mins with continuous stirring. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add cheese at the top.
Note: Do not add too much water on the sauce.
